I received my BA in Liberal Studies from Thomas Edison State College. Soon after, I attended the 4 year round Chinese Medicine Program at the New York campus of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Here I earned an additional Bachelors in Professional Studies and a Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine. I am licensed in the States of New Jersey, New York, and Virginia and I'm nationally certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).
I've also earned certification for Strategic Interventional Coaching through Robbins Madanes Training under the tutelage of Tony Robbins, Cloe Madanes, Magali and Mark Paysha. This training adds to and complements the training I received at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.
I practice and teach Yang Style Tai Chi and have been involved in martial arts for over 30 years. This began my path and love for Alternative & Eastern based practices of treatment, lifestyles and philosophies. As with everything in life there are infinite possibilities of achieving balance through Yin & Yang.
I recently retired from the Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center, a level one trauma center, after a 20 year career of service. I have seen the best of both Eastern and Western Medicine in practice as well as compared their limitations.
In the other part of my life, I've acted on stage, screen and TV, I've directed plays, taught speech & been a DJ in Pittsburgh, Atlanta & Houston. In my leisure time I enjoy good literature, music, various aspects of art & culture, educating myself and others in healthy foods and positive lifestyle choices.
Hippocrates:
It's far more important to know what person the disease has than what disease the person has.
Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.
Extreme remedies are very appropriate for extreme diseases.
The soul is the same in all living creatures, although the body of each is different.
All parts of the body which have a function, if used in moderation and exercised in labors in which each is accustomed, become thereby healthy, well developed and age more slowly, but if unused they become liable to disease, defective in growth and age quickly.

This is a long overdue review. I hurt my shoulder last summer while swimming (of all things...). I don't know what I did to it, but all I know is that I only had about 25% mobility in it, could not sleep on my right side and was in constant agony. I thought about going to see a doctor but I knew the first word out of their mouth would be
This is a long overdue review. I hurt my shoulder last summer while swimming (of all things...). I don't know what I did to it, but all I know is that I only had about 25% mobility in it, could not sleep on my right side and was in constant agony. I thought about going to see a doctor but I knew the first word out of their mouth would be "surgery".
After 4 months of it not healing, I decided to give Bud a try. I had never tried acupuncture before but felt I had nothing to lose.
At the first visit Bud asked me to raise my right arm. He could see how little I could actually move it. After he put several pins in my opposite foot, I gained some mobility. I was shocked and felt there was hope. I left after my first appointment with a little less discomfort, but also left with the thought that this could possibly help.
Each visit afterwards Bud got a little more aggressive with his techniques and each time I left with a little more hope and mobility.
Well after nine visits my shoulder gained 95% of its mobility back. It was an amazing experience.
It has been over half a year since I was there to see Bud. This summer I swam every single day, have no problem sleeping on my right side and have no agony in my shoulder whatsoever.
I would highly recommend Bud any day of the week. If you have a similar issue to mine, I would definitely recommend a visit to Bud first before considering surgery. You may be very pleasantly surprised.
Thank You Bud!
Enthusiastically,
Pete S.
Hello Bud,
It was a great experience! I had not had acupuncture treatment prior to this and was not sure what to expect and still do not fully understand the concept of how it all works, but it did. I certainly feel it was beneficial and if I need a "tune up in the future, I will be sure to give you a call.
Thanks again,
Candie
Thanks as always Bud. Your talent as an acupuncturist, advice, wisdom and words of encouragement are as important to me in my journey as my immunotherapy.
Jeff
Bud,
Last night was the first time in 30-40 years that my legs did not bother me. I didn’t eve realize what it felt like to not have the restlessness because I guess it felt normal even when it was at lower levels of intensity. Not until it was gone last night did I understand it was always there. Thank you so much! Also the hot flashes did not wake me so I think they were substantially impacted too! Thank you very much! I am thrilled!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Lois
